Year of Heaven 2007

Goodbye '07, Hello '08. I'm pretty excited to face a brand new page in this book of life. For the past one year, it has been ups and downs, order and turmoil, just like a vessel on the ocean, having little clue about the future, so on and so forth. Needless to say, I am going to miss 2007 for they will be memories after all. I'm going to let bygones be bygones and start what I've left unfinished and to start what I've not started and to heal the scars I left behind in people and in myself. The past one year has made me learn a lot of things, be it study or play, it was all time well spent. Regrets will always occur in us, although some people say they don't have any on anything. To me, having a little feeling of regret, makes us learn our mistakes and move forward. Anyway, 2007 leaves me with a lot of memories, which I wish not to forget until old age. From family to friendships, all fly and sail with me to the tip of the world, I love it. Somethings that I'm going to miss:
  1. Having my best friends to study overnight at my house.
  2. Discussions in Higher Malay, touching on today's culture and even my personal life.
  3. The laughter I had in classroom and Higher Malay class.
  4. The fun escaping some assembly talks, which is so not relevant to us.
  5. CCA, having to take photographs and my photographs taken.
  6. The advantage of not attending Malay language class in school.
  7. Those times when I went to buy bubble tea with Syaz after Higher Malay lessons.
  8. Those times when Hafiz slept over at my house and talked about silly stuffs, from brands to models to people among us.
  9. Study and gym and gossip sessions with Dynna, Tim, Elyia, Nana.
  10. Motivation from parents before O's and all, which is still helpful to me till now. They mean a lot.
  11. I miss tuition, my ex-tutor is my new friend.
Which ever that I forgot to mention, pardon me because there are so many memories left behind. I wish that I could relive, what I've left before moving on to the future. Moving on to the new year 2008, there's a long journey that awaits me. Along it, lies hills and mountains for me to pass through without falling into the valley. 2008 shall be faced with full of courage and excitement. Ambitions and dreams shall be fulfilled and sacrifices has to be made.

Early 2008's highlight would be my 'O' Level results, which I've been waiting for ages, but at the same time, I don't wish to see my results, not because I thought it might be catastrophic, but I want my holidays to be longer! No matter what result I get, I think I have to receive it with an open heart. Click HERE to listen to Sway, click HERE to listen to My Love (Westlife).

Ok, I shan't bother you guys with my long winded entry. Have a nice weekend/holiday. Fact: I don't miss school but I miss my peeps, that's for sure! Journey has not ended yet.

Back To Back Happy Time

This December is absolutely fun-filled with outings. After I came back from my vacation, it was Aidiladha, which I don't have a chance to wish you people Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha because I was so tired after one week of holiday and before I could fully pull myself together, we have to go out for visiting. No doubt, we went back home quite late
The next day, after my course ended, around 9.30pm, we went to watch National Treasure. It was such an adventurous movie, with some conflicts and all. I was quite reluctant to watch that movie though. I didn't even bother to watch the first one on DVD. Turns out, it was good!

On Saturday, went out again, To Jurong Bird Park. Flamingos are hot and owls are cute with their eyes and there's one that looked as though it's wearing a hood. Super cool. We didn't stay there for long because we were not bothered to walk throughout the entire park although they have a lot to offer. Absolutely, we did not miss the "World's Tallest Man Made Waterfall" which is only about 100 meter and the bird show. Parrots are funny and cute. And colorful!

The next day we went to Sentosa, and the funny thing was, we went to this carpark and it charged $10 for the entire day and the other car park only cost $1 per entry! Such a rip! It was so unreasonable to pay $10 for car park fee! Besides, we were not going to park there for long. We went to other places after that. So, why pay more? We did not miss the cable car of course. It wasn't frightening at all to me but when it suddenly swings lightly and eventually stops, it sent down a weird feeling on your stomach. A lot of scary thought occurred in my mind at that time though.

And today, Monday, we're suppose to get books for my two younger fellas but we ended up watching a movie. I Am Legend it is. It was exciting to imagine yourself living alone on this planet but when it comes to having creatures that harms you, it is freaky. I'd give that movie a rating of 6 out of 10. Go watch the movie and see for yourself. The creatures were quite fugly and it's a hair-raising experience to imagine those creatures appearing on my toilet mirror. Especially when I have to use candles in the toilet due to the blown light bulb! See, I'm very imaginative.

Yay! Later afternoon we'll be going to Pulai Spring and this time I want to try their gym because I've never tried it before. For all these while I've been using the pool only. Well, probably I will swim for a while after gym! Gosh, I'm so fickle minded. There's no photos to upload yet. I'll put up some pictures soon.

Post 'O' Level Plans

I'll be going for holiday tonight, and if you people are going to miss me please feel free to click HERE, voice from me. This is the song I sang during the morning assembly a few weeks after winning the second prize for the Karaoke Idola. This is the recorded version though. Anyway, one more song will be up when I return to Singapore entitled Sway, which I sang in 2006 for Teacher's Day celebration. In addition , I'll try to put up the new blog layout, which is almost ready in few weeks time.
What are my plans after the vacation? I'm going to take some new shots somewhere because the other day our plan was canceled due to rain. Let's hope the next one will not be canceled again. Then of course, I will try to send the portfolio as soon as possible. In addition, I've not been exercising for more than one month as the O's are approaching. Since now that I'm free forever more, I shall go out with Tim to workout or something. What's more with the dumbbells which Dad brought home, it eases my activity by not going out. Of course, Tim can come and Khai can come over too to hang out with us.

Apart from that, I have to build another website for my mum because she wants it. I just hope she gave me what she wants fast so I can do it as soon as possible. In addition, I'd probably follow my dad overseas in the future while waiting for results. Of course, to add on, I have to find students to teach and going for a tuition agency can be quite unreliable.

I'll probably be going to Pulai Springs at least twice a week to use the facilities there. What's more when I'm the member and I rarely use the card. So, might as well I utilise the place. The sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, gym and even movie theatre. Of course it would be boring if I go there alone. I'd probably bring along my cousins because they've not been there for a long time! And perhaps some friends.

In the mean time, I'm looking out for courses rather than sit and rot at home and spend money unnecessarily, I might as well make myself useful and I think this is the time for mind investment like what Cikgu Fidah said. Besides, I'm sick with the idea of working during this holiday. Too young to work!

Speaking of Cikgu Fidah, I miss Higher Malay lessons so much. Muahaha. I know you'll read this. That's all. Enjoy your holidays!

Pulai Springs Resort - Hafiz and Siti

Although the day trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL) was canceled, Fiz, Siti and I still had a lot of fun today. Of course we were looking forward to the KL trip because we are so in need of shopping elsewhere. In the end, it was canceled because my dad was tired so we just headed to Johor, which that morning I dreaded it because shopping in Johor can be such a bore at times. Which is indeed true! The idea of shopping at City Square somehow kills me and we ended up at Jusco Shopping mall which is just like Vivo but their collections of goods seemed to be limited and unattractive and I have no mood to shop. Total boredom. But who cares because after shopping we went to Pulai Springs.
On the way to Pulai Springs we talked about how mischievous and active we were in our primary school days and how lazy we are now. We even debated about being materialistic and being brand conscious. Apart from that we even talked about how complain-kings and queens we are becoming and even want to complain even about the littlest thing. Then we saw a women holding a poster high in the air by the super busy street and laughed at our own stupid questions like "How much do they get paid?" and we even talked about how ungrateful we are. Well, that somehow summarize what we are becoming and gives us the realization on who we are now. Then we talked about how much we miss Pulai Springs because the last time we were there was four years ago and even when we reached there, not a thing changed. Everything well maintained and of course the build up a new hotel which we are planning to stay in soon?

I'm all excited about it and guess what? I dozed of on the way there and thanks for waking me up by saying "Oi.. Don't want to swim?" That helps a lot. I was so refreshed when I alighted from the car. The best thing today was, this is my first time using my own membership card but what the hell, I don't get to sign it because I was so engaged with my excitement.

Swimming was fun. I had a hard time getting into the water because it was darn cold! Come on, it just rained but after that I'm fine with it. I managed to swim but Fiz said I looked constipated or rather asthmatic! After some time when we get out of the pool, I pushed the two twits into the water. They are so caught off guard! Muahaah! But still you guys managed to get your revenge on me! We're even then. Hmph! It was super funny! The best part was when Fiz tried to push me like how Siti did to me for revenge, he failed. Booya! Being bored with the adult pool, we played the slide and the children there were super annoying. Of course when the three of us get up to the slide we were like the kings and queen being given way to. But still, it's super annoying at how they reject when we asked them to go first.

After Pulai Springs, we headed to Giant hypermart to get our BBQ stuffs there. It was quite fun but we were tired after swimming. I shan't elaborate much about the shopping trip because I for myself am not aware what I've bought. Besides, I have my own budget which I could spend

Then we went to dinner and since the restaurant is so close to Singapore, my phone got local reception and I got three missed call from numbers I don't really know except for one familiar one. So, the thing is, not all numbers were saved. Heh. So I called them back and one of it was from Pat, a senior girl whom I have never talk to and she was asking me about the prom (or so she thought) that will be going on on Saturday.

"I heard there's prom tomorrow. Is it still on and can you tell me the details because the NT students want to come."

Hmmm... This is so exciting, isn't it?

More people, more food, more drinks, scramming to get more of everything.

Annual Reunion 2007 Invitation

I've been missing in action and I know you people are wondering why the hell am I not updating even after 'O' Levels.
Anyway, the planning of the party has been good and shall I say, smooth because this year we do not have any performance to choreograph. Save the hassle. Ouh you people don't know how hard it is to keep people entertained and choreograph dance steps or something. This year is a BBQ party of course we eliminate our performances for good and will be planning to come out with something way exotic next year.

My dear friend Syaz is now back from Cambodia and sorry pal, I have to disturb you and refrain you from having your rest because I need to get my pictures done so I can send my pictures to my uncle in hoping that I can get extra money through this. And damn computer is down again. Previously, my computer was down because of the hardrive which was totally crashed and then when I got it back, it was down again because of the internet. Long story how it could break down again. This time it's my fault though. Pfft.

The BBQ party will be on 11 December 2007, Tuesday. I hope all of those invited could come. I've put in your names in a list and I would probably know who attend and who do not.

Some of the people that I've invited, apparently, I do not have their contact but I believe the message somehow reaches you. Short say, everyone is invited especially those who are close to me in school. The theme for the BBQ party is "Ebony and Ivory" and let me reassure you that ivory is not purple... Go and check out the dictionary. It's black and white.. It's up to you whether you want to wear formal or informal as long as it is black and white.

For those who don't know, this annual party thing has been going on for the past 3-4 years and this is 4th year of having this party. All these while, the party was planned mainly by two people (Fiz and I) but this year we are adding in one more people into the planning - Rudy. Remember my previous few entries when I told you that the first ever "party cum singing competition was attended by only one person and two judges and one stage helper? Well, that was us four years ago. So this year, we are going to continue doing it without the competition and all. Besides, my school doesn't have any prom or rather celebration with food and music except the boring Graduation Day! So this year, this party will be an event you should look forward to.

Biggest fears when planning this party? Hope it doesn't rain on that day because the terrace is not fully sheltered. Apart from that, we fear nobody will come and worse of all, having to chase away people away. What else? Another big fear that food wouldn't be enough. But should be sufficient.

So far, we've invited only 130 people but we've predicted that some wouldn't come because of personal reasons they might probably make up and maybe some due to real reasons. So that's why to us it's not a lot of people. Of course, in the three lists, some of the names were repeated anyway. To get confirmation and details, please text or call me. See you there!

How We Friends Started

These are the videos of me. I think I have more of my self-obsessed video but I don't know where I put them. Go have a good laugh at it and enjoy it. The most bottom video was taken like four years ago when we were primary six! Where we were immature kiddos going "hoo-haa" over Malay pop music. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, miss those times when they said I sing like some bloody opera and I in turn said that their voice is like this and like that, criticizing each other non-stop and yet we are still friends. Ok, here goes a long story how we started and all. I may be quite evil at that point of time. Well, I met Syaz and Fiz when I was about primary five.

I remembered Syaz started talking to me on the way back from religious class. I didn't even know who he was but I just acted nice and it turns out that we were from the same school that time. So we moved on from going to school together since it was an afternoon session , we went to the provision shop and he recommended me this multi-ball point pen. I love that pen but too bad they no longer sell them. It makes writing neatly comfortable.

Then I met Fiz, if I remember correctly, through Syaz because they know each other for quite some time then. Ever since I knew Fiz, I went to his house at times before going to school to make our own lame concerts using video camera! Thank God he deleted it. We were too full of ourselves. I mean the bed turned into a stage and wardrobe becomes that exit of the stage and of course, the mic becomes the mic.

After which, we realized how childish we were and we moved into telephone conference and start talking about having small party with us performing! Inspired by Juara Lagu shown by TV3 (Malaysian channel). And at times we discussed other things too. I remember Fiz and Syaz were talking about Charmed (TV Series). The first super-super small party we had was at Fiz's house with only one guest and two judges who were our friends. The guests were Faizah (miss her loads!) and the judges were Tariq and Taufiq. We enjoyed ourselves very much. I mean, that time our voices were high enough to reach those unreachable notes so we always thought we could sing. Speaking of my performance, I ran away from the fireworks covering my ears while at first I'm the one asking for it! Guess what, there were only two participants, Fiz and me while Syaz backed out. He came though to help Fiz out. Who won? Fiz got all the prizes while I got one: Best Vocal. (Gosh, I'm laughing now) That small party leaves us wonderful memories which even now, we speak of it.

In the following year, we separated, going different directions. Different schools, new people and different environment. We did contact each other still. Fiz had been diligently calling me and I'm the bad one who tend to forget to call him. Luckily Syaz went to the same Higher Malay lesson as me so we get to contact like almost every week. Then connections got more complicated. I shall not get into details because I for myself get confused at times!

In our entire secondary school life, we still contact each other and still hang out with each other, do some silly stuffs that others would never do (I guess) and we still do have the same interest but now, more of different kind of stuffs. But still, friends come and go. I really really hope it last for a very, very long time. Who knows, forever?

A Day Out

Showing you this picture below does not mean I hate Literature. I'm fascinated by my friend's drawing because within half and hour, he is able to produce this kind of art piece. Well, I'm not encouraging you to be like him because he did this during his Literaure 'O' level examination, which he only took half and hour to complete his one and a half hour paper.

Fiz, Tariq, and I went to Pizza Hut to have lunch and indeed, lunch lasted me for almost the whole day. It was so filling. Since, Fiz's order came late (as usual), the manager gave him four pieces of chicken and of course, we thank God for not making us order that chicken. Of course, I had one from his plate. After which we went to Simei to look for our long yearned trench coat, but it was so huge for us. Only giants can wear them. Well, we've not checked out Parkway Parade yet.

After which we planned to go to Ikea so window shop for nothing and talk about stuffs, but Tariq complained he was tired. What the hell! Then Hafiz showed some long face which I don't even care, but I know it's meant for Tariq. Heh! Tariq ended up changing his mind: Instead of going home, why not go to Downtown East. We headed to Downtown East to play billiard but hell there's a lot of people. We ended up walking deep inside to the chalets then we saw an arcade, so we ended up playing there. We played the soccer thingy where you can control with your hands and I jumped and scream in excitement playing it. We also played the techno dance machine thing which only now I know how to play.

After those fun stuffs we did, we sat at the water breaker and took some lame photographs. Seriously, life is so dull without camera. Using camera from my cell sucks. I so need a camera phone. The Cybershot one I mean. Now the 6.5 megapixel Cybershot is available instead of the normal 3.2 megapixel. I'm going to get it!

Ok, back to as what I was saying. After which we went back and ran away from Tariq for fun! Since, he did the same thing to us! Haaha, it was so funny but Fiz and I felt so bad though. Sorry Tariq, but it was just so fun. Anyway, running from him was so fun that we accidentally stepped onto the mud and we were laughing like mad at our silly antics. I was perspiring like mad dog and was quite embarrassed in the bus because my shirt is so wet that you can see those wet patches at my back. What the hell. Habis la minah-minah yang tengok aku semua nanti tak sudi..

I have to start making my post-exams schedule now. Like totally!

Happy Eid On Post 'O' Levels

Hello sunshine! The earth says hello again! Oh my holy God! Finally, the time is here where I'm back blogging again! Guess what, I have loads of plan in my list in commemoration with post 'O' Level activities and one of them is to go to go tour around Singapore! Seriously, I'm so heading to the zoo and night safari and not to forget the Esplanade and Bugis Street and whatever places of interest I can find in Singapore! Well apart from that, I still want to tour the world.

How are my 'O' Levels you may ask? Well, it's more of ups and downs with the easy papers and non-easy papers but mostly, I truly think that most of the papers are manageable. Not to say easy because results are not out yet. But whatever it is, what come may. I am totally ready to accept my results because I know I've done my best, to my maximum potential and thank you everyone especially my tutors, parents and those who helped!

Eid is coming to an end and I would like to take this last minute opportunity to wish all of you "Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir dan batin." and of course to all Hindus, Happy Deepavali. For your info, I'm going to Mustafa Centre probably next week?

I'm busy having my own movie-marathon now, watching American Pie, such a disgusting, yet funny movie! Just to add on, I've gathered my past years books and I'm selling it off. So please, next year's Secondary Four students, call me if you want to purchase my used books. Of course, I'll give you the good books. But do check your syllabus, it might be different. Adios!

Higher Malay peeps! I miss you people!

Anugerah Planet Muzik 2007, Singapore

Friday was one of the most memorable day of my life!

Hafiz and I went to Orchard Road to buy some items that we wanted and intended to go to the cinema and besides, I’ve not been out for a long time ever since the holiday started! And Fiz’s uncle gave us two free tickets to Anugerah Planet Musik (APM). It's an award show for the Malay music industry, some thing like the Grammys. I was jumping with excitement of course because, I don’t have the intention to go to the show this year because it’s in Singapore Indoor Stadium and it would be so boring, so I thought I will not lose anything if I didn’t go for this event. We intended to get to the backstage without the ticket to see the artists we wanted last minute and cancelled our trip to the movies. We waited for the arrival of artist from Indonesia, Malaysia and of course Singapore! And I got to meet Kris Dayanti and I got to take a photograph with her! She’s nice I tell you! And came Jaclyn Victor who’s kind of unapproachable and I got a photograph with Aznil the funny host and talked to some other artists like Irwansyah and Acha, Jaclyn , Kris Dayanti , and some new artist that I don’t seem to know them well but, meeting them is such a blissful moment! Thanks to Fiz’s uncle for he tickerts!

While I was wandering away awed by the celebrities walking past, I was like “Eh these two people look familiar?” and Fiz was like “That’s Irwansyah and Acha!” And I was like, oh boy! Sure or not? But I don’t get picture with them because they were like rushing or something like that and it took me a long time to figure out who they are. Get to see them up close and they were smiling at me while I was smiling randomly to all artists. Acha is so adorable.

I got interviewed by Fiz’s sister’s friend from Sungguh.com. I think you can go to that website to see if I’ve already been put up by them around these two weeks. They asked me how long I’ve been waiting for those artists and since what time I was there. So, it’s kind of cool. Then, another interviewer from Suria channel interviewed Fiz and me, asking to give opinion about metrosexual guys. I gave them some weird answers and said it was good. And then when the camera starts rolling, I don’t know what to say! And I have to fork out words and I almost speak English to them! My Malay was totally off at that time! Well, Sorry Cikgu Fidah! And my face will come out in the television soon when the show Cakap Sini Habis Sini comes out out. It’s obviously a new show coming soon because I’ve not heard of it anywhere in Suria or any other channels. Whoever who’re metro sexual please don’t get mad because my comments are given as impartial as possible!

Then we went in for the show, quite stuffy in there and thank goodness that Aigner brochure we got served us as a hand fan. The show was nevertheless fun because there were funny and entertaining hosts/hostesses. Too bad you can’t see them live on television except via Malaysia’s Astro. Siti Nurhaliza’s performance with Gita Gutawa and Taufik Batisah was nice! Siti’s voice is alright, she can still sing live! Well, though some said she couldn’t but well, she has still got her charm and nimbly voice. After the show, we went to the backstage again and Fiz and I were the first two people to be there and the security was not so tight when we were there until loads of fans came to see them. Thank Allah for not making such a huge humongous crowd like last year. But last year I’m in the magazine and this year, in television and internet jargon. Thanks to all publicist!

I shall not elaborate more on the show because you guys must watch it and all artists were good! I like Gita Gutawa because her voice is so high and unique and she’s so gorgeous in pink! She sang Biarlah Rahsia and her voice was so high and even my Siti Nurhaliza cannot reach to that extent I guess. But still, Siti Nurhaliza is still my choice - love everything about her. Back to after the show, the first person I met was Mawi! And he’s nice. I’ve got a photo with him. Apparently, if I knew it earlier, I would have brought my camera! And I took photographs with Najib Ali, he’s taking the same van as Mawi. And then more artist came out and the security is like chasing us nicely to make way for vans and buses. Then, I get to meet some celebrities which I don’t know their name but I know their faces. Then Siti Nurhaliza came out with her husband in the car and we fans stalked the car and it slowed down, wind down the window and we fans crowded around the car and get to shake hands with Datuk K and Siti Nurhaliza and get to see them really upclose and Siti talked to me and Fiz! We definitely conquered the car window. We were talking about her new album and ask her to make a concert in Singapore her and some weird stuffs like updating her blog - SitiZone. Apparently, most people don’t get a chance to talk to her like us! We were lucky! Alhamdullilah. And then Irwansyah came out. We were somewhere near the dustbin and Irwansyah and Acha were holding hands. And then Fiz and I were calling their name and they came to us, running, holding hands and people from nowhere came crowding us! This is so unfair because we did all the calling! Again, I got to shake their hands and say that I like them acting in the film - My Heart. Then I got to take photographs with the “Gol Dan Gincu” guy - Ashraf Sinclair, with a female celebrity and found a new friend! Apparently my cell phone battery was going low so I had to borrow their camera. It's good to know there are nice people around this island!

This is trivial, I didn't know Sleeq until I saw them riding my car to the event. How awesome!

Photo: Class T-Shirt

Featuring the new class t-shirt. Well, apparently at this time, I got nothing to do and Syazwan was being helpful. The T-Shirt design was done by my classmate Syahmi and apparently he got the idea from Devian Art. Looking good!

More Than Academic Test

I am so glad I bumped into my cousin when I was on my way to the gym on Tuesday. I was so thrilled and we're like "ARGHHH! Aisyah!" and she was like "OMG! Fadli!" So yeah, we met and we still got the time to take a snap of ourselves. Gym was fun as usual. We decided to run on the track outside the gym but it was used for sports heats. So, we went back to the gym and do some other form of exercise. The treadmill is fun but when you run and look at the screen, it gives you a slight headache looking at the red lights from the screen.
The next day was Peribahasa Test, I managed to do well for it because it's an open book test! But I tried my very best not to look at the list but only look at them to check my answer. So, I didn't copy them blindly although I know my teacher would probably think that I copied them blindly. Haha!

Recess duty on that day was annoying. First of all, I had willingly sacrifice my recess time being stationed at the staircase to ensure that no one goes up during recess but I don't know who was it who didn't bother to do recess duty or either late for duty. It defeats the purpose if I've done my part and the other staircases are not manned. I might as well continue my recess and socialize with my friends right? Thank goodness today most of them really did their part because people can't go upstairs before the bell rung. And guess what? They even dared to bargain with me to give them permission to go up and where the hell is my duty partner? Missing or what? And anyway, I didn't allow them to go up. If they ever did, I'll make sure they're in the lis.

There's nothing much on Thursday. I skipped NAPFA test that day because I was tired and it was raining heavily. So, coming back to school would be hectic. I went for today's one, with my brother. I'm so irritated by Stand Broad Jump and Sit-And-Reach. These two stations always pull my points down

Today was fun. Because it's suppose to be fun on the eve of the weekend. During morning duty, I asked this girl to pick up the litter because it's right at her feet and she came from the row of the same class. And she got the nerve to say "Nah, you want it right?" and I said "NO! You have to throw it away." Hello! I'm not your maid here. To lead is to serve but not picking up litter from your own class row, it's your responsibility! Try to argue with me. It's like the litter is closer to you and it came right from your class. It's fun to get on their nerves after they got on mine.

My Geography teacher told us that there will be a test on Monday and I wrote it down accidentally on the Tuesday column and a Geography Revision Day in the Monday column. Without my notice, I closed the book and keep it in my bag. Then suddenly my teacher change the day to Tuesday! I took it out again to amend what I've written and found out that there's nothing to correct! Cool huh! 199 days to 'O' Levels, 18 days to Mid-Year Examinations. Wish me luck!

Phuket Trip - March 2007

Day one in Phuket was fun but at the same time, quite boring during the day because most of the shops were closed because it's a Sunday. I ate Tom Yam for lunch. Apparently, it was not as spicy as I thought. I was quite surprised upon knowing that the place we had lunch at was hit by the December 2004 tsunami. After which we walked around looking for stuffs under the scorching sun! God, I'll get sunburn if I were to stay there any longer. My mum and aunt went to perm their hair and I went back to the hotel room to catch up with the jet lag. The hotel is super awesome! I like the bed. It is so traditional and the toilet is superb. Duh, its a new wing built aftermath. When the two ladies got back, we went for dinner. We had to pass through a stretch of slum and for the first time, I'm not really afraid of dogs even when they bark at me I know what to do. We had a hard time searching for a halal restaurant. We ended up eating seafood and vegetables. Of course, I don't touch those vegetables. There's lobster, steamed fish and prawns.

After dinner the shops were opened! And we shopped stuffs like shirts, pants, and I bought a new lamp for my bedroom. There, you got to bargain like hell because their opening price is so expensive! But of course, most of the time, they gave in. Their first question they tend to ask is "Where are you from?". My third brother told one of them in the afternoon that we were from Singapore while on the other hand, we were reminded to tell them we're from Indonesia and my second brother, being such a smart guy told that we were from Malaysia. They happened not to ask me. We've got to lie or else they won't give us lower prices. They don't need to be economists to know price discrimination, heh! We don't want them to treat us like how they treat the westerns by charging high prices! After shopping, we went back to the hotel and our hotel happenned to be so close to the mamasan (prostitute) club where there were prostitutes and drag queens up for grabs on the streets. There's one point where a few drag queens lined up in one row and one of them shook her boobs and offered us to take a picture with her. I took it with my mum, brother, and aunt. The boobs pressed on my shoulder and somehow sent a shiver down my spine! After taking it, he wanted to see it and guess what did he asked for after looking the picture? Not one night stand of course! He asked for a tip and asked for a 100 Bhat. My hairs were standing even until now if I were to think about it. Back to the hotel room and I'm dead asleep.

Day two was fun too. Wake up in the morning for breakfast. Got to be aware of pork sausages and some other stuffs that we cannot eat in early morning with my sleepy wandering eyes. Thank God, I took the right stuffs. After which we went to Patong Beach and we had a hell of fun. I went for jet ski, banana boat and para sailing. The beach is wonderful! I like the sand and since it's after the big wave incident, almost everything looks new and there were not many people but majority were the Caucasians having their sun-tanning activities while I on the other hand, having fun and at the same time, got tanned. I like my skin tone now! Wee! My aunt fell down from the jet ski, my mum was frightened when she ride the jet ski on my back. She said I rode it too fast and I was like "Eh, no la. Jet ski is meant to be fast right." After jet ski was banana boat and I don't know how the hell it went but we were pulled by a speed boat and there's one part we capsized! I laugh like hell because it's so funny! My mum panicked and she's holding on to me and I was like "Don't panic! You're pushing me in! You have your life jacket, hold on to it." Para sailing was hyper fun. I love it. When you're flying up there, people see you and I was waving at almost everybody, and the people riding on the jet ski. I wonder if they saw me up there because I look so small. I could see the ocean and it was magnificent! Bravo!

After those hot activities, we went for lunch and ate Tom Yam! I love it! It's not as spicy as the day before though. It was scorching hot there. You could hardly look up onto the sky and if you do, you will get blind. After that we went back to the hotel room. My parents and my aunt went for a massage while I, have got nothing to do, went to the gym and I have the gym all by myself! Isn't that great? Then we went to dinner and went shopping. I had cheesecake and vanilla shake after shopping! I bought some stuffs for my cousin and friends. The shopping trip was quite unsatisfying because they were not cheap and it was not easy to bargain but it's understandable knowing they are trying to cover up for the losses due to the disaster in 2004. I want to go to Bangkok. Anyone wants to treat me air tickets? Miraculously, during that shopping trip then we found lots of halal restaurants! Arabian food and all. They looked super-duper delicious and we should have ventured further out the day before because the following day is the last day and we needed to check out!

Last day was fun and on that very last day that we know there is this place called "Phuket Town" and we have always been thinking that we are in Phuket town already! After breakfast, we arranged for a driver to bring us the Phuket Town and we searched for items. There's nothing much that's cheap but and the prices of the shopping mall's items is almost equal as Singapore's. Still, I think Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur has a lot to offer when it comes to shopping even if I've never been to Bangkok, I've heard a lot about it. On the way to Phuket Town, we went to a rifle range shooting or whatever they call it and I scored 87%. My mum and brother got 90% but heck, I'm not that good in this kind of stuffs. Then went back to the hotel to have shower in the spa because we checked out early because we had to. The Thais are so hospitable. Upon waiting for the time to head for the airport, my parents went for a last minute massage while the rest and I stayed at the lobby, reading a book.

Night flight is love! I like it because I can see the city and the lights. It was fun. At the same time, I like morning flights too, where I can see the sunrise. Nothing much to say about flight except that it feels good to be back. We landed here at 1.30AM (13 March) , Singapore time. I had my Literature remedial lesson this morning at 9am and now, I'm refreshed! Back to schoolwork! Yeeee-hah!
