Not Only Studying!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great week so far and most importantly had a great January to start the year right.

It's been a while since I last wrote.

Being busy has been a part of my life, so saying it over and over again is pretty pointless!

Exam Season
From this period till May, I will be busy preparing for my finals. I really hope for your support, encouragement and well wishes! This has been a really tough semester for me because my field of study is not exactly my strongest link. It's like digging my own grave, but I won't blame myself for it because not everyone can accept Keynesian theory that easily - especially for a module that starts with 'Introduction to...'. I am not that dumb after all! Hence, please understand my absence at social events!

Preparation For Exams
Studying improves mental performance and increases knowledge through training of your muscle memory. However, it takes stamina and discipline to stay put on the study desk. Speaking of ergonomic hazards!

I have been going to the gym frequently lately, trying to adopt a healthy diet and spiritual wellness. I chanced upon a lifestyle book recently that says - "Take care of your stomach for first fifty years, and it will take care of you for the next fifty." I need to start to live by that really. I'd better treat my engine like a bloody Ferrari.

Besides, exercise bulks up the brain! That's what scientists at the Salk Institute found out.

Getting Some Culture
I am glad to have a glimpse of Singapore Biennale 2013 at the Singapore Art Museum to appreciate local, regional and global art. It was just a way to get my mind off numbers and theories. It was really amazing to see many bold designs, which is something we might not be able to appreciate without the festival. Believe it or not, that was my first time enjoying Singapore Biennale!

Personal Project
My family car will be scraped soon and I am working on a project for it. Hopefully there's time and funding!

Currently running a project with my alma mater. Hope the students will be enlightened and graduate with pride!

Family Reunion
Festive occasion here is not only celebrated by the adherents of a particular culture or religion, it is celebrated by the rest of the people too! That's the only period when you have public holiday and are able to gather with your loved ones.

I really appreciate that most retail are closed during Chinese New Year because only then we are able to come up with ideas that enable us and our loved ones to gather to enjoy each other's company.

My family and I had a great time by the beach enjoying the wind, playing games and made a fool out of ourselves. Personally, I think the most fun part was the plan to wear all red in commemoration of Chinese New Year. Even in family, not everybody gets the memo!

Wearing the same color is very Hari Raya thing to do, so we are kind of living the Malay spirit in a Chinese celebration. Fusion? No?

That's all I have for now, hope you're enlightened!
