Penang Pesta Dragon Boat Race 2015

Finally back from Penang!

I was in Penang last week for Penang Pesta Dragon Boat Race 2015. Held at Teluk Bahang Dam, it was a two day event participated by teams from Malaysia and all over the globe as far as Macau and Iran. Our team won several categories, congratulations to those who were involved!

Whatever happened during the race left an impact in me in several ways. It was an emotional roller coaster for me. Looking on the brighter side of things, I am certainly grateful for this trip.

While I was busy counting on the things in life that I do not possess, I came to a realisation that the only reason I did that was because it was harder to count my blessings.

Although my dejection seems a little childish and self inflicted, I was not even entirely disappointed about the race results to begin with.

In truth, I was more frustrated by how I didn't actually feel the satisfaction I'm supposed to feel after my sets. Feeling inadequate although I know deep inside I had given the best of my ability. As I look down though, I was reminded that life is great and it is a personal onus to make it greater. Thank you Talking Toes for such uplifting socks. That made my day somehow!
