Back in Tekong - Do I Miss Life Here?

I do not miss this place.

I do not have to because my heart will always be here. So many fond memories that cannot be erased just through passing time. I have no list of message to enlistees telling you how to survive National Service because I am in no place for such, and I have no influence to tell you the benefits of throwing away your two years.

If you had gone through your full term wholeheartedly, no matter what rank you are, what personality type you have, no matter what is your medical status, I assure you will never sit on a dining table without having a story to tell.

Counting down the days to new year 2017. Starting many aspects of life afresh and hoping for the best!

Like The Corals In The Ocean, We Unite In Harmony

I may not have come from an ultra-elite school, but by relative standard, this is one of those in my town.

I am utterly grateful till today for all the empowerment given by my teachers to be a student leader, to read extra subjects and allowing me to contribute back as an alumni which I am all happy to do after everything the school had ever done for me. I also truly treasure the relationship fostered with my schoolmates from all levels along the way in secondary school.

Our one and only homecoming had brought us together to say farewell before our school gets amalgamated. Thus, bearing a new name.

Thank you everyone for the blissful memories! The presentation of this alumni award is a testament how much my alma mater hold dear to me, and definitely must be shared with all of you! It's no Nobel, but you can always ride on my joy!

Jack Wills Singapore Grand Opening Party

Jack Wills, known for its cult British clothing, announces the opening of its second retail store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Ngee Ann City, two years after its debut in 2014. Jack Wills had just made Christmas shopping easier with their latest gift collection and many more!

I bought myself a gym kit gift - not because I needed it really but I love navy blue and its minimalist font that spells WILLS and I thought it would be nice to carry a set of that to the gym! The gift set is a great buy as it contains five items including the drawstring bag and they are a pair of ear piece, a squeezable water bottle, hair and body shower gel, and a quick drying microfibre towel apt of sweaty gym users!

This retail outlet is the brand’s eighth store in Asia, and the third outside of Hong Kong since the company’s foray into the region in 2011. The 200 square foot store in Takashimaya, located at the heart of Orchard Road reflects all that is Fabulously British. Jack Wills, for more than 16 years, has brought British heritage-inspired wares of the highest quality to the wardrobes of spirited and inspired youths, epitomising what it is to be British, irreverent and carefree. This store will carry an extensive range of products targeted at the discerning and sophisticated women and men who are inspired by the British heritage and fashion style.

Jack Wills was established in 1999 by founders Peter Williams and Robert Shaw in Salcombe, Devon, a small coastal town in the south of England. Ever inspired by the best of British, from its history and culture to sporting and country pursuits, the company’s registered trademark, “Fabulously British” encapsulates the inspiration behind Jack Wills – high quality goods that draw heavily on British heritage and style. Jack Wills takes pride in using the finest quality materials, techniques and design to deliver the brand’s distinctive connection between the old and new, epitomizing what it means to be young and Fabulously British.

The Ngee Ann City, Takashimaya store opens with the Jack Wills Autumn and Christmas 2016 collections. For the Christmas 2016 collection, expect festive hues, soft textures and iconic “Made in Britain” outerwear pieces. The boutique will also carry accessories, homeware and gifts to suit every shopping need.

Jack Wills’ Christmas collection focuses on quality rather than quantity, and clothes that suit our lifestyle, for work, socializing and everything in between. The designers have invested a huge amount of time and energy into upgrading the fabrics, fits and detail of not only the core clothing – hoodies, loungewear, knitwear – but also seasonal items such as outerwear of the finest quality.

Jack Wills has a strong following amongst some of the most quintessentially British style icons, including Princes William and Harry, Emma Watson.

Looking forward to splurge more with my new favourite brand being so accessible at Orchard Road! There are so many gift items ranging from stationery kit to grooming packs which are indeed fabulously British!

The Masqued Ball at Adrift, Halloween 2016

I am not one to celebrate Halloween but this year was an exception. Adrift by David Myers played host to The Masqued Ball in celebration of Halloween, where part of the proceeds of that night's extravagant event will be channeled to Food from the Heart charity organisation.

It was my first time dining at Adrift by David Myers and the food was delicious beyond words. The salad was crisp and tasty, the salmon was lordly, and the crème brûlée, oh my God, it was like celebrating my birthday! If there was anything that made me really happy that evening, it was the dessert! Compliments to the chef!

Also a pleasure to meet Chef David Myers in this wonderful benefit! Adrift is simply the perfect place for dinner parties!

Singapore Fashion Week 2016

A night to remember with all my friends at the Singapore Fashion Week 2016 - a fashion festival that needs no further introduction.

That day we were packed and moved like a production line seamlessly. From home we were chauffeured in the wonderful Autobiography Range Rover to Intercontinental Hotel for grooming and hi-tea and then packed in an XJ Jaguar to the National Gallery. Autobiography is amazing for long drive! I must say it was a tiring day for me but it was a great one, got to meet my friends and acquaintances at the opening party.

Importantly, it was to celebrate and support the designers showcasing at the festival!
