Malaysia 2019 - Retreat at DoubleTree Hilton, Johor
You only worked for four days and you said you are tired? Have you tried working for eighteen years? 😂
Celebrities young or old when they are on tour, they have at least a day break in between to reassess themselves, have time for a proper meal and probably a power nap. Whereas for me, I worked more than six hours entertaining more than one person that week, how could I not be spent? I am not saying I hate what I do but it does take a lot of mental, physical and spiritual energy. There are days where I would just actually sit and they are lucky enough if I could roll out my tongue and speak.
It was indeed a fruitful and enjoyable week and because of that, I deserve a retreat! No?
A few weeks ago, after four days of being back at my beloved hometown - yes, what is there not to love about my hometown? Everything runs pretty much smoothly I daresay. I am not discounting other countries that I have travelled to but it is always good to be back even though times may be hard.
Walau hujan emas di negeri orang, lebih baik hujan batu di negeri sendiri. Classic idiom equivalent to the grass always seems greener on the other side - but that's probably because you forgot to water your own lawn.
Back to the grind now.
