Celebrating Giving Week this Holiday Season with SG Cares organized by Carousell

Don't be merry alone.

This holiday season, Carousell distributed their Giving Box in support of SG Cares Giving Week.

As we are trying to adjust to the ever-changing new normal, its charities and beneficiaries are struggling to adapt with limited resources. The help through the #blessings campaign has lifted the boat a little to tide through this period.

As a token of appreciation, some of them had personalized and heartwarming greeting cards and gifts!

iCare Hub aims to assist women to reintegrate into society. They have wonderfully baked this bottle of cookies and they are delicious!

I, who am a supporter and long time foster parent with SPCA and truly heartened that Carousell too supports care for animals. What's more, during this pandemic where owners may choose to dispose of their pet irresponsibly, it is important that we help these voiceless animals who might not survive out in the wild as they are domesticated.

Cornerstone Community Services goal is to equip each member from young aspiring couples to well-experienced grandparents with practical life skills and knowledge. When it comes to skills, knitting something purposeful like a coaster is indeed useful!

SUN-DAC was established to care for those with moderate to severe disabilities, and provide financial subsidies. Their beneficiaries have kindly gotten together to craft beautiful paintings and I am lucky to be getting one of them!

Jeans to Dreams Merchandise gifted a writing materials, and pencil case which is made of jeans supports needy children in Presbyterian Preschool Services (PPS). They work together to raise funds through their handmade crafts to raise funds in hoping it would help the needy children to grow and glow. You may choose to donate directly, or purchase their merchandise for the new school year! It is always nice to have a designer school bag and pencil case, but nicer to bring a locally designed one that serves a good cause!

There are many other gifts too from Singapore Red Cross, Autism Association (Singapore) and Food from the Heart. Should you wish to increase your good karma points, maybe it is about time to take out your wallets and contribute sincerely to these established organizations!
